Siena is a beautiful medieval city, packed with Gothic buildings in
shades of the reddish-brown color we call burnt sienna.
There's so much to see that I wasn't even planning to go there;
I wanted to spend the day in
San Gimignano.
But I didn't change buses where I was supposed to, so I decided to
let my bus take me on to Siena and spend a few hours there.
Here's some of what I saw as I buzzed through town on a cloudy
January morning.
