Photo Tour: "Island Hopper" flight

Continental Micronesia Airlines has a great way to get to Micronesia: the "Island Hopper", a daily flight between Honolulu and Guam via five or six Micronesian islands. The 737, full of natives and their ice chests packed with food (and a few tourists too), hops from island to island. Most airports are just tiny concrete strips; the takeoffs and landings can be hair-raising. At least one of the airports was so small that we had to wait on the runway because the one "gate" (actually, the area in fromt of the airport) had another plane in it when we landed. If there's time, the pilot will buzz an island on request to give you an aerial tour. Even if you only want to go from Honolulu to Guam (or vice-versa), on your way between Asia and the United States, the Island Hopper is a fantastic way to go.
