"Rough" images

Most of the images on jerrypeek.com are from Nikon and Canon digital and film SLR (single-lens reflex) cameras. After thirty-plus years of photography, our photo library has grown to more than 50,000 images. About 25,000 of them are on film. The process of sorting, scanning, and editing the digitized photos has taken many months of work... and it's nowhere near finished! (Many of the older images on other parts of the site haven't been improved yet. By the way, both film and digital images -- even from high-end cameras -- need cleanup.)

The "rough" images in this area of the website are sneak previews: a shortcut to let you see photos while we're in the process of making the best possible versions of them.

Why are they "rough"?

The rough images, ugly as the one on the left below, look like the one on the right when they're done:

Finished

Many images in the "rough" area of this site don't get as much attention as the finished version above. (You can read how we make and improve rough images, if you'd like.)

We've rushed the images in this part of the website so you can see more of our library. Please remember that they aren't as good as they will be. If you find a rough image that you'd like a better copy of, just let us know: click the "Contact us" link at the bottom of any page and tell us the image number (which is listed under every rough image). As time goes on, these images will disappear -- and reappear in the tour and gallery sections of the site.
